Q1: Does the car still have the Manufacturer's warranty? The official
word from Toyota is that the manufacturer's warranty is voided for rebuilt/salvage cars. To be 100% sure we ask
the customer to call Toyota Canada and USA to verify. Please remember that the cars are sold with a REBUILT
title so please mention that fact when you speak with the customer service representative from Toyota.
Q2:
Do you provide warranty on your work? YES. If there ever is a problem with the repairs we performed we
always fix those free of charge. We depend on the customers to spread the good word and that's the only way we can extend
our customer base.
Q3: Can I get a warranty (other than Manufacturer's) from
you? Yes. We can sell a third party warranty from Lubrico (www.lubrico.com). Prices vary depending on
the coverage but they're reasonable.
Q4: Is there additional modifications I
need to perform after I buy a car imported from USA? No. We take care of all the necessary modifications
and inspections.
Q5: Who pays the taxes? The buyer pays the
tax (13% HST) to us. At the time of registration the buyer pays only for registration & sticker ($10 + ~$80).
Q6: Is there additional fees beside the taxes? The only other expense
is the registration with the sticker and plates (if you require new ones). Registration is ~$10, sticker ~$80 (one year),
and new plates are ~$20.
Q7: Is it true I have to change the main/big/hybrid battery
every X years? No. To our knowledge, there have not been a reported case of a failed battery. The system
is designed in a way to extend the battery life. There are Toyota Prius on the road with over 300,000kms and are still using
the original battery.
Q8: How expensive is the hybrid battery? New from the dealer they came down in price from $5000USD a couple of years ago to $3500USD. Used batteries can be located
for anywhere from $500USD to $800USD.
Q9: Does the car require additional maintenance
due to the hybrid components? No. The hybrid components (generator, inverter/converter, battery) do not
require additional maintenance. The car will probably require less maintenance due to regenerative braking and the fact that
the combustion engine is helped by the electric system when propeling the car.
Q10:
Can I buy the car from you AS IS and get it fixed at my body shop? Yes. Please let me know which car
you're interested in and we'll explore the possibilites of selling it.
Q11:
